The funicular's station has an electronic control for the tickets which will enable you to skip the queue at the entrance as you can show the tickets on your smartphone, without having to worry about printing them off in advance.  At the access to the cable car, you can also have a photo taken (which isn't included in the price of the ticket), that will be printed off for you to collect at the end of your visit.  There are three stops for the cable car: Parc de Montjuïc, Miramar and Castell de Montjuïc.  You can decide if you wish to stop at any of these and get off and then resume your journey to the top where the Castle of Montjuïc is situated. When you arrive at the final stop on the cable car, you will have the opportunity to visit the interior of the stunning castle, (entry tickets are not included in the price of the cable car) and relax and enjoy the breath-taking views of Barcelona from on high.

Useful tips

Once you have reached the last stop on the cable car, in other words, the Montjuïc Castle, don't just stop to admire the panoramic views of the city but also make sure that you head towards the bottom right hand side and the historic cannon and make sure you see the stunning views of the port as well.  As you rise above the city, you will have the chance to admire many of the city's iconic landmarks such as the Sagrada Familia and the Torre Agbar among others.  At the end of the tour on the cable car, you can find out about what else there is to see in this area by reading our article about the neighborhood of Montjuïc. A small preview: among the many cultural gems in this particular area are the  Joan Miró Foundation, the Poble Espanyol and the Catalan Museum of National Art.
How to get there
The cable car station is located at No.30 Avinguda Miramar.  Our advice with regard to the best way of reaching the cable car station is to take the bus.  You can take either the number 55 or the number 155 and get off at the stop called Av. Miramar.  The cable car station is right in front of the entrance.
